PDF Conversion<\/b><\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s say that you want to convert a PDF file to MS Word or Excel. Here\u2019s how you can do it by using just the keyboard shortcuts:<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1 – Open a PDF file <\/b><\/h3>\n

Shortcut: <\/span>Ctrl + O<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Use this shortcut to open a PDF that is located on your hard drive. Just navigate to it and hit the Enter button.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2 – Select content<\/b><\/h3>\n

Shortcut: <\/span>Ctrl + A<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Use this shortcut if you want to convert the entire PDF file. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shortcut: <\/span>Ctrl + *<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Use this shortcut if you want to convert only a part of the PDF file. <\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3 – Choosing the conversion output<\/b><\/h3>\n

Use this shortcut if you want to convert your <\/span>PDF to Excel<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Note<\/b>: <\/span>If you want to use the custom PDF to Excel feature, you\u2019ll have to use the mouse to define the custom conversion layout. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Shortcut: <\/span>Ctrl + D<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Use this keyboard shortcut to convert your PDF file to Microsoft Word.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bonus tip<\/b>: <\/span>If you want to convert multiple PDFs at once use Ctrl + V shortcut to initiate Batch Conversion mode.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

PDF Editing<\/b><\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, it\u2019s not possible to <\/span>edit a PDF<\/span><\/a> file by using just the keyboard shortcuts. Not even Able2Extract is capable of it. However, you can use some of the keyboard shortcuts to enter <\/span>the <\/span>PDF editing mode and make the task a bit easier. <\/span><\/p>\n

For instance, imagine you\u2019re working on a huge PDF file (100+ pages) and you need to edit a few lines on page 98. Here\u2019s what you should do after you\u2019ve opened the PDF:<\/span><\/p>\n

Use the <\/span>Ctrl + N <\/i><\/b>shortcut to navigate to the desired page. From there<\/span>,<\/span> use your mouse to edit the content. <\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, shortcuts can help ease <\/span>up<\/span> the task of finding and editing specific words in such large PDFs. Use the <\/span>Ctrl + F<\/i><\/b> shortcut to find all of the words in the document and of course, make the modifications with the help of your mouse. <\/span><\/p>\n
