Here\u2019s how to do it in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gmail<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Sign in<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to your Gmail account<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the <\/span><b>Compose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter the recipient address, the subject line, and the text<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the <\/span><b>Attach files<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> option (paper clip icon), locate the PDF file and open it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8054\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gmail-Options.png\" alt=\"Attaching PDF in Gmail\" width=\"908\" height=\"676\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gmail-Options.png 908w, https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gmail-Options-300x223.png 300w, https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gmail-Options-768x572.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 908px) 100vw, 908px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 2px 6px 4px 6px; color: #555555; background-color: #eeeeee; border: #dddddd 2px solid;\"><b>Note<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure that the PDF file doesn\u2019t exceed the size limit (25MB) otherwise you won\u2019t be able to attach nor send it to anyone. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>2) Through Google Drive<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your PDF file is stored on your <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/drive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GDrive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you can forward the PDF file without the need to download it to your PC. There are two ways you can send a PDF file from GDrive:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Upload the file from GDrive<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here, the steps are similar to when you\u2019re attaching a PDF file from a hard drive on your PC. \u00a0You just have to attach the file from Gdrive by clicking on the <\/span><b>Google Drive<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon instead of the paperclip one. From there, locate the PDF file, select <\/span><b>Attachment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Insert<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Send a shareable link<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is an elegant workaround for sending large PDF files. Instead of attaching a file to the email message you can include a shareable link to it. Just as in the first method, you can do this from your email message window by clicking on the GDrive icon, locating the file and opting for <\/span><b>Drive link<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> instead of Attachment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8055\" src=\"https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gdrive-Option.png\" alt=\"Attaching PDF into Email through Google Drive\" width=\"852\" height=\"527\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gdrive-Option.png 852w, https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gdrive-Option-300x186.png 300w, https:\/\/www.investintech.com\/resources\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Gdrive-Option-768x475.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 852px) 100vw, 852px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another way of including a shareable link is to <\/span><b>manually copy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and paste it into the email body. Here\u2019s how: Locate the PDF file on your GDrive, right click on it, choose <\/span><b>Get shareable link<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, copy it and paste it into the email message window. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure to adjust the <\/span><b>sharing settings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> so that the recipient can access or edit the file.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recipient will be able to open the link and view the PDF file in a web browser. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 2px 6px 4px 6px; color: #555555; background-color: #eeeeee; border: #dddddd 2px solid;\"><b>Bonus tip<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can attach a Google Doc file as a PDF attachment without converting it. Open the document and go File&gt;Email as attachment&#8230; Fill in the appropriate fields and click send.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>3) Through DropBox<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last but not least, you can attach and send your PDFs via DropBox. The process works in pretty much the same way as Google Drive. You can either send the file directly from the DropBox menu or copy the link and paste it into your email body. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Locate the PDF file you want to email and click on the <\/span><b>Share<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button located to the right. If you\u2019re sending confidential files these features can really come in handy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And now you\u2019re ready to send your document. Simply attach your new compact and universal <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Portable_Document_Format\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PDF<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> file or insert a shareable link to your email and send it.
