Use Sonic to Convert PDF to Text

For existing PDF documents, Sonic users have the ability to extract the text from these PDF documents and saving the text to the clipboard. Users can then paste the copied text directly into Notepad, Word, or any other compatible text program.

To activate this function, the user must first open an existing PDF file from their computer in the Sonic PDF viewer or work with a newly created PDF file that is opened in the Sonic PDF viewer.

Tip: Prior to copying the text, it is advisable for the user to open the destination application where they wish to paste the copied text. For instance, if the user wishes to copy text to Word, then Word should be open prior to using the Copy Text… function. 

By clicking on the ‘Copy Text’ button, ‘ ’ or by selecting the “Copy Text…” item from the Edit menu, users can copy the text directly into the Windows clipboard.

Because the document has been saved to the clipboard, it can be pasted into any .TXT compatible application – including Notepad, Word or Excel.
