The Overlap Pages function allows the user to superimpose one page over another. This feature requires the user to select a Source PDF File and page to overlap the current PDF document. One example where this might be useful is when a user wishes to apply company letterhead to an existing PDF document.
The user must then select the Opacity and Placement for the PDF page to be used. Opacity refers to how transparent the overlaid page should appear. A value of 100 for Opacity means that the overlaid page will be completely opaque. A value of 0 means that the overlaid page will be totally invisible. Regarding placement – the user can select to Underlay the selected page (such that the selected page is below all objects on the current PDF document) or to Overlay the selected page (such that the overlaid page is placed on top of all objects on the current PDF document).
The page range options for this dialog allow the user to specify whether to apply the selected PDF page and the chosen settings to the current page, all pages, a page range, or specific pages within the active PDF document.
Note: When Opacity levels are selected, they may not appear properly in the Sonic PDF viewer. To check whether the applied Opacity has been correctly applied, the user can open the document in Adobe reader to view the overlapped page.
