The Crop Page function allows the user to crop and resize content to their desired specifications.
The Crop Margins area of the dialog box allow the users to specify the area of the page they would like to retain on the page. The Top and Bottom refer to the height of the document. For a standard Letter size page – with height of 11 inches – the non-cropped settings would be Top = 0 and Bottom = 11.0. If the user wanted to remove an inch from the top and bottom of the page, they should enter Top = 1 and Bottom = 10.0. Similarly, the Left and Right refer to the width of the document. For a standard Letter page – with width of 8.5 inches – the non-cropped settings would be Left = 0 and Right = 8.5.
Page cropping in Sonic PDF is generally limited to a single cropping action. As such, if you attempt to recrop a page that has already been cropped, by default, Sonic will apply the new crop settings to the original page configuration. If you wish to “Recrop” an already cropped page – you must select the “Apply to prior cropping rectangle” box located in the Crop Margins area of the dialog.
The page range options for this dialog allow the user to specify whether to apply the cropped dimensions and settings to the current page, all pages, a page range, or specific pages within the active PDF document.
